  • Papers of Denis Gabor a Physicist who identified himself as an engineer. He invented Holography. He knew it had no viable use at the time, but believed new technologies would prove its value
  • Papers of Sir Alec Skempton, instrumental in the development of the discipline of soil science, which is fundamental  to the  basis for Civil Engineering work
